Vale D’Algares Winery

Refurbishment and enlargement of a traditional winery in Vila Chã de Ourique, in the Cartaxo municipality, Portugal. Refurbishment and New build – completed.
Through an inverted suspended pyramid, like an initiation rite, the visitor is led to the discovery of the cellar by an intricate descending route where the gaps between the building elements allow glimpses of the interior, without giving him a global perception of the space, until the surprising entry into the nuclear room where the wine is silently aging in its oak barrels.
