W Shopping Leiria

Regional Shopping Centre with four commercial floors and two basement car park levels, located next to one of the main entrances to Leiria, Portugal. New build – preliminary study.
The design pays tribute to Leiria’s pine tree forest and the naval construction industry of the Portuguese Discoveries golden age, using laminated timber structural elements and large shading canvases, reminiscent of the caravel’s masts and sails.
